Historical Interpreter
While creating this website, I had the opportunity of meeting the historical interpreter, Jim Sayre, at the 100th anniversary of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park in Hodgensville, KY. Mr. Sayre was featured in the virtual field trip videos on this site and is currently available for historical interpretations around Kentucky upon request. - David Reid, Summer 2016

Book Recommendations
Lincoln has been covered in 1,000's of books over the past 150 years. While I have not read as many on him as I would have liked, I have read upwards of 20 at the time of the creation of this website. The following three recommendations are just a few of the ones that I enjoyed reading more than others. - David Reid, Summer 2016

I created this website in the summer of 2016 as partial fulfillment of the Understanding Lincoln course offered through the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. As a native Kentuckian, and former social studies teacher in Oldham County, I have always admired Abraham Lincoln and enjoyed the rich history of his life and legacy that is scattered across the Bluegrass. I hope you enjoyed the resources and information presented. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. - David Reid, Summer 2016
